A writing workshop by Pepper Levain

Wednesday, March 25th, 2026

3pm – 5pm

This is a workshop for everyone who wants to get more in flow with their writing!

A big challenge with writing:

Overthinking, blocks, not getting out what wants to come out, not being in flow with heart & brain. Having worked as writer, visual and sound artist for over 10 years, text has always been a way to express and digest the world around + inside me.

Why surrealism?

The artform always inspired me to take realities apart; deconstruct and reconstruct. The movement of surrealism included not only visual art, but also text/poetry and came to life within the chaos of (post) World War I (in 1920s). Its fragmented imagery much reflects psychological dislocation and trauma. I believe in today’s world our ability to connect with our creativity is urgently needed, being overloaded with images, triggers and no time to digest.

As always, we know the big names of men but (as alwayyys) there’s females in the far background that created the movement just as much. I share some amazing works by female surreal artists, but merely I provide a space, tools and inspiration to write and create together.

Whether it’s your new shopping list, a dream diary, a poem – it’s about letting go, experimenting, going in flow, creating something with pen & paper!!!

Really no experience required! You are welcome as you are. It will be safe and chill. I’m hosting in English – but you can write in the language you feel most comfortable with.

Please RSVP upfront!
I’m aiming for 2 hrs – and it’s going to be a small group. Suggested donation: 10€, oc more if you really loved it! <3
